Young People Learn to Row

Young People Learn to Row

Learn to Row is an introductory program offering young people aged 11+ an amazing experience of rowing on the River Clyde. Participants are introduced to the basics of the sport in a fun and engaging atmosphere.

At the end of the program, participants can go on to continue developing their skills with our regular novice rowing crew, called Junior Tier One.

You don’t need any specific equipment for rowing, but you should wear sports clothing with pockets that can be closed and that you don’t mind getting a little wet. We also strongly recommend bringing a back-up bag with spare clothing and a towel, for the unlikely event of a capsize.

If you have any questions about our Learn to Row program, or would like to sign up, please contact our Community coach (cldcoach@clydesdalearc.org.uk) or Captain (captain@clydesdalearc.org.uk).

You will be provided with all relevant information prior to signing up to a course and you will be asked to complete a Consent Form before any activity is allowed.

If you are under 16 please ask a parent or guardian to get in touch.
