Corporate Regatta

Each summer, we invite companies to assemble a crew (or crews) of four or five to compete in our Corporate Sprint Regatta. Over the course of a few weeks  those crews are provided with the necessary equipment and training required to compete in a day of racing against other beginners, as well as hopefully a few laughs.

The emphasis of the event is on building team skills of cooperation and coordination, and those crews that are best at listening, working together, adapting and responding to the strengths and weaknesses of their colleagues typically perform better on race day than the physically fittest, as well as enjoy the experience more.

Regatta day also includes a variety of sprint race events as well as our annual Ergo Challenge, a relay event to see which crew and coach can complete the biggest distance with 30 seconds rowing per crew member, plus 1 minute rowing by the coach.

Prizes on the day will include commemorative etched glasses for those reaching the final, with those winning the event being awarded the British Steel Trophy.
