Another great season for Clydesdale rowers came to an end with numerous successes at the British Championships and a sizeable representation in the Scottish team for the Home International Regatta.
At the British Rowing Championships on 16th-18th July, Clydesdale ARC was the most successful Scottish club - recording 2 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze medals across the board. 40 club members were entered and an impressive 19 went home with medals. They were:
Gold -J17 1x - Kieran Brown
Gold - J14 1x - Harry Leask
Silver - WJ 4x - Sarah McNee, Fiona O'Prey, Erin McGeady, Kirstin Allan
Silver - WJ 8+ - Sarah McNee, Anina Khamisha, Nicole Baillie, Caitlin Forsyth, Fiona O'Prey, Erin McGeady, Kirstin Allan, Rachel Arnold, Paula Semple
Bronze - J18 2- - Ronan Murphy, Ross Urquhart
Bronze - W 4- Samantha Fowler, Rosie Young, Karen Bennett, Claire McKeown
Bronze - M 2- Andrew McConnell, Chris Rae
At the Home International Match in Cork, Ireland on 24th July, more than 30% of the Scottish team was made up of members of Clydesdale ARC. The 22 members gaining Scottish vests this year were:
