Heritage Lottery keeps hopes afloat for West Boathouse

The Heritage Lottery Fund has announced its support for the redevelopment of the Category B listed West Boathouse on Glasgow Green, with a First Round Pass for a Heritage Grant of £1.212m including development funding of £121,900 for Glasgow Building Preservation Trust to develop their proposals further.

Olympic Silver Medallist Polly Swann announced the award before prize-giving for the Scullers Head event on Saturday.  We welcomed Cllr Archie Graham OBE of Glasgow City Council, Julie Procter of MyParkScotland and Morin Fenton from Spirit of Calton, who all spoke about the wider support for the Glasgow Building Preservation Trust project.

You can read more about it on the Heritage Lottery Fund website and on the GBPT website.

Our thanks go to the Heritage Lottery Fund for their support and to Glasgow Building Preservation Trust for all their hard work.  Please help us share this wonderful news on social media, using the #WestBoathouse #HLFsupported hashtags.
