Doors Open Day 2015

The West Boathouse participated in the Glasgow Doors Open Day event and welcomed 371 visitors to the building over the weekend.  Club members rose to the occasion as usual:  providing a friendly welcome, guided tours of the Category B Listed Building and some much needed refreshments and chat up in the tea room.  Feedback was really positive from visitors and volunteers alike.  In addition, 3 crews from across the memberships of Clydesdale and Clyde participated in a Scratch Regatta in coxless quads to entertain our visitors.

Our thanks go to the 15 volunteers who made it a success, with hospitality being led by Sally Nicholson, Mary Snape and Stella Hawthorne; Welcome provided by Mike Lekakis, Anne Morrison, Fiona Robinson, Amy Nolan, Fraser MacIntyre, Rosie Upstill-Goddard and Stephanie Smith; Guided Tours by Gordon Simpson, Duncan Paterson, Mike Williamson, John Eadie, Mark O-Hare and Andrew McConnell.
